AIM HIGH MODEL AIRPLANES is a well known manufacturer and distributor of wooden airplanes, shield plaques (any size and shape), desk signs, ships, submarines, yachts, stick models and many more. The products are made out of dried mahogany wood from the Philippines, and are finely handcrafted by Filipino skilled workers.
Production Process
Our skilled Filipino workers start to carve some kiln dried Philippine mahogany wood into aircraft shape. They follow preferred scales, diagrams and sketches of the actual aircraft with the use of requested details and information materials provided by our customers, and they can carve models from 4 >inches to 8 feet or more. This is a Filipino state of art.
After the wood has carved into a particular aircraft shape, putty coating is being a applied to cover the wood layer and prevent the primer paint from wood absorption. After the application of putty coating, smoothening of the aircraft surface follows and covering holes to make the aircraft smooth and prepare for primer spraying. Spraying of primer paint will follow. Colors of the paints depend on the base color of the aircraft. Then, sprayed aircrafts will be dried and prepared for painting or artistry, the most important part in aircraft model procedures.
Painting and Artistry
Following the pictures and descriptions our customers providing, our skilled Filipino artists starts to hand paint the models that were dried and prepared. This state of the art work shows the true talents and skills of the Filipinos.
Aircraft Details
While the models are being painted, missiles and rockets are being prepared to add more details to the model aircraft which makes it more accurate. Then antennas and wirings will follow.
Final Spraying and Drying
Final spraying of gloss or flat paint is applied after overspray and dust are cleaned and removed from the finished products, then they will undergo thorough drying to prevent packaging materials to stick on the aircrafts.
Packing
After drying, models now are being prepared for packing. Customers do not have to worry about the final outcome of their model orders because pictures of the model aircraft will be sent to customers through email for their approval. Models are being shipped only when customers approved them.
